MMA training will allow the Practioner to gain a well balanced approach to unarmed combat despite MMA being a Combat sport as there are rules in place that make the sport safe.

Self Defence

In comparison  with other combat sports that place a limit on techniques and specialize in a phase of combat such as Judo, Brazilian ju jitsu for grappling  Boxing, Mauy Thai for striking. MMA provides you with a more realistic base for a self defence situation than traditional martial arts training, although specfic training in personal protection should still be needed as there are limtations to MMA in a Real fight Secrnaio

Phases of Combat

Overtime MMA training will enable the practioner to become proficient at all ranges of combat. Kicking & punching  infighting, Vertical Grappling throws, take downs,  Ground & pound and submission fighing .

The benefit of this approach to training is the practioner may have experience for one phase of combat such as ground fighting. through training mma  as they are challenged to become proficient at striking, and ground & pound  then overtime combine all those skills together to become a well rounded and very competent individual.

Members are encouraged to cross train in differnt arts to improve there overall effectiveness skills and knowledge the coach has formed good links with specialist coaches in ares of BJJ Boxing and Judo
